AEQUUS'S BF3 TEAM IS IN THE ESL "PRIMAVERA SERIES" CUP FINAL
written by I. G u r v i t Z - 20.05.2012 - 12:48
Our new Battlefield 3 team from Portugal has managed to reach the final of the Portuguese Battlefield 3 called "Primavera Series", wining some top Portuguese teams on the way.
We've decided to interview one of the teams top players, "
Q. So AeQuuS wasn't very active in the last few weeks. Our website was unavailable, we had no TeamSpeak server nor a Game Server. What gave you the boost to reach the final anyway?
A. "We have always been active but having both our website and TeamSpeak server down was sad, yes. Luckly our newly acquired Portuguese team made things easier because they had their own TeamSpeak server so, we quickly got ourselves acquainted with each other and started training for the Infantry 5on5 Portuguese Spring Series cup. But what is giving us the boost to reach the finals is because we just want to kick some ass, haha! We want to put AeQuuS on the map, so to speak, we want to get recognized, get some sponsors while we are at it. And we want to be the main Portuguese Battlefield 3 team. And to tell you the truth, we might just get it. We have won against all the Portuguese teams that we have faced in the Spring Cup and there is just only one team left for us to face".
Q. Do you believe that you can finish this cup first place? And losing the final means the end of AeQuuS Battlefield 3 team?
A. "We will soon find out won't we? Haha. In my opinion I believe we can. We've got a great team, great players. The chemistry between us is good and we play very well together. But if we end up losing, we'll just train even harder and haunt them untill we win. I can tell you, though... We are very eager to win this thing. We'll give them everything we've got for this title. Like they say: "If we go down, we'll go down fighting." We will scare them for life! We'll make them tremble everytime they hear our clan's name! MUHAHAHA! Sorry, a little bit of evil laughter there. Hehehe".
Q. How did you build such a successful team in such a short time?
A. "It was pure luck actually. Me and KryptonZ wanted to make a Portuguese Battlefield 3 team but we were lacking the players as it was just the 2 of us. Also we always look for skilled people, which that alone makes it an even tougher search. So we started scouting servers, checking the Portuguese ESL forums but it was going really slow. Untill one day KryptonZ joined a server, where there was a Portuguese player, H3rOi, doing really well, so they talked, he said he was interested in joining us. He also knew other Portuguese players, (maboard, sL4y3RPT, RaLvPT, xaipt), that played good as well and were interested in eSports and we... just went for it. Let's say we took a leap of faith and here we are, two months later, in the finals, kicking ass".
A MODERN WARFARE 3 UK TEAM TO REPRESENT AEQUUS
written by I. G u r v i t Z - 03.03.2012 - 10:35
We are always happy to welcome new teams into AeQuuS. This time we took a risk by choosing a team that has been only playing together for only 3 weeks, however it sounds like they have a lot of ambition and desire to keep playing together for the forthcoming years to become a better, more efficient team and achieve their goals.
Here's an interview with the team's representative, "
Q. So you and your team are not very experienced in the professional electronic sports industry. Does the merge with AeQuuS gives you any encouragement and hopes that it will change? And if so, what are your expectations?
A. "We are experienced in the gaming side but not as a team but joining AeQuuS will give us the boost and encouragement to become better players. Are expectations are to achieve the highest possible positions at future LAN's starting with the one in Blackpool (EGL)."
Q. Let's talk about the upcoming LAN in Blackpool, what are you doing right now to be more prepared for this LAN?
A. "Currently we are about to start scrimming LAN teams to get us in the right frame of mind for this LAN and to see what our challenges are. We are also playing one day cups to prepare us as well which we started quite well on winning a one-day cup against some average teams."
Q. Do you feel that the training has actually improved your skills? Today are you better than yesterday?
A. "Personally I am getting used to spawns so I'm gradually getting better everyday. And as a team we are working out what's best for us for example, Brandon knowing the spawns so we can counter-cap on a Capture the Flag game and it's things like that which are the things you need to know."
Q. Some of you have never met each other in real life, can you be sure that everything will be alright in the upcoming LAN in April?
A. "Well most teams are like this on thier first LAN and we are all confident that we will attend EGL and meet each other then. We will then be all set for the future LAN's as we know what everyone is like then."
Q. Besides playing hard and giving it your best, are you looking to have some fun in your meetings?
A. "Yes, it will be a laugh meeting each other for the first time. We are going to look around Blackpool in our spare time we have and see if there is anything interesting to do so that should be fun."

AEQUUS CHOSES A EUROPEAN TEAM FOR MODERN WARFARE 3 (PC)
written by I. G u r v i t Z - 07.12.2011 - 06:39
Today AeQuuS can finally announce the arrival of there new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 PC team!
The Roster is a fairly large one consisting of:
This is a fairly new line up from a break off of one of the top teams in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 scene!
Now time for a few questions with the Team's representative, "
Q. How is your team feelings playing for AeQuuS in this Modern Warfare 3 campaign?
A. "For me the team I feeling great. We have been shown a lot of support from AeQuuS and have been welcomed in with open arms. We've only been around a week or so and have already been talking to some of the guys from other teams and mixing in quite well with them. We hope that we can get a nice winning streak on the go once all the League's start up for us to compete in."
Q. You guys didn't start this Modern Warfare 3 campaign well, you lost your very first Modern Warfare 3 competitive match in the first round of [ESL] Modern Warfare 3 Search & Destroy 5on5 Release Cup, what caused it?
A. "Personally speaking, I believe this was due to us being unorganised and having a mainly "new" lineup playing for us. We also had chosen the map "Mission" to be our home map, but after the defeat we had on it we thougt we best try our luck on another map that isnt so fast paced. Fast paced games just isn't our style and we like the slow, pick'em and move plays."
Q. Do you feel more prepared to the upcoming [ESL] Modern Warfare 3 Search & Destroy 5on5 Opening Cup?
A. "I feel we are better prepared and hopefully should do better than first round knock-out for the upcoming cup. Training has been upped by the team and alot have players have finally settled in. In the first cup we had 5 players who had never played with each other playing together in an official competitive match. This probably wasn't the best way to start our first game but we have got closer since then, with better understanding of each other. Hopefully this time we can go out and prove to the Modern Warfare 3 community we mean business."
Q. After all, do you see the team having a good campaign in Modern Warfare 3?
A. "Our main aim is to be one of the top teams in MW3. Half of the team have the experience of being the best in Modern Warfare 2, so hopefully we can carry on being winners here in MW3 and hopefully shed our knowledge onto our newer, less experienced players. We see no reason why we cannot be one of the best - we have the same chance as everyone else. I feel that every player within the team holds the potential to be one of the best, it just depends on whether they can reach their full potential. Hopefully, we can gain some awards through competing on MW3. Our aims are simply: To win what we can, when we can, and on top of that - Have fun!"
